Workplace stress is a leading factor in employee burnout, costing companies billions of dollars in lost productivity every year.
Despite the high cost of workplace stress, most companies do nothing to address the issue. Managers and leaders often feel overwhelmed and ill-equipped to deal with employee stress.
Our Stress Reduction and Resiliency Training workshop is the solution. This workshop provides individual workers with the skills they need to manage their own stress, while also giving managers and leaders the tools they need to create a more resilient work culture.
1. Recognizing the Signs of Stress
The first step in managing stress is to recognize the signs that indicate when someone is becoming stressed. These signs can vary from person to person, but may include changes in sleeping or eating patterns, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and feeling overwhelmed.
2. Identifying the Causes of Stress
Once the signs of stress have been identified, it is important to try to identify the causes of stress. This can be difficult, as there are often multiple factors that contribute to stress. However, some common causes of stress include work-related issues, family problems, and financial concerns.
3. Developing a Stress Management Plan
Once the causes of stress have been identified, it is important to develop a plan for managing stress. This plan should involve both short-term and long-term strategies for dealing with stress. Some short-term strategies include taking a break from work, exercising, and spending time with friends or family. Some long-term strategies include making lifestyle changes, such as simplifying your schedule or learning how to better manage time.
4. Implementing Stress Management Strategies
After a stress management plan has been developed, it is important to put the plan into action. This involves implementing the various stress management strategies that have been identified. It is often helpful to start with small steps and gradually increase the number of stress management strategies that you are using.
5. Evaluating the Effectiveness of Stress Management Strategies
Finally, it is important to periodically evaluate the effectiveness of the stress management strategies that you are using. This will help you to determine whether or not your plan is working and make necessary adjustments. It is also important to keep in mind that different stress management strategies will work for different people and what works for one person may not work for another
